Our Story

Our founder, Ben Strout, a penetration tester and community organizer, originally started PhreakBoutique to support community education events in the hacker community. What began as selling gear to sustain these events soon blossomed into an Etsy store, and later into a series of ecommerce efforts, which we've now streamlined into the PhreakBoutique you know today.

This transition wasn't without its challenges. We faced unique supply chain issues and the hurdles that come with scaling a small side project into a thriving business squarely focused on enhancing the information security community. However, with determination and passion, we've successfully overcome these obstacles to deliver goods and services unavailable anywhere else.

Our Mission

Our vision is to be a pillar of support in the information security community, providing no-strings-attached backing for activities that foster growth and education. As hackers ourselves, we understand that while creating your own tools can be rewarding, not everyone is in a place where they can do so.
